The headphones plugged in had been more or less a way to let people know not to annoy him as he flipped through the pages of his book. What was on the menu today? A book with a title so great Hoss couldn't even hold his laughter thinking it. Doing It. A really wity book that dealt with a lot of teen angst and the struggles and emotional backlashes of sex at an early age. There was a lot of this book that Hoss liked but most of all he enjoyed the way it felt extremely relatable when he was much younger and had read through it the first time. The book was almost like an anthem of his freshman year of high school. Now here he was giggling to himself as he read through it, a small handheld package in his coat pocket as he read along through the nighttime train.

Easiest mission ever…

It was something so small, so simple, deliver a package. This one he even got to do on his own since it was more important to attract less attention. Hoss figured a small package would make this much easier, especially since he was going to be meeting up with a Solstice member. He didn't know the contact by name or anything but it was someone who was keeping an eye on Silver Dust activities in the Western District. Someone looking through the black market and trying to get Solstice a foothold in it. Hoss could bet money that what he was delivering was illegal, something for the black market trade. It was small enough that Hoss figured it was a sample of something much larger in quantity, a way of saying that they had any at all to potential customers. Maybe it was a drug, maybe it was something even worse like poison, either way Hoss was content with shutting up and meeting the guy to give him the package safely.

Hopefully Silver Dust hasn't caught up to him yet. I'd hate to walk into some sort of ambush waiting to happen.

The thought left pretty quickly as he read on and nearly cursed out loud from some of the dumb shit Ben was getting himself into. Seriously, this kid should know better than to sleep with a teacher when she's so obviously a psychotic bitch. Hoss saw the stop was coming up so he closed the book and pushed it toward the bottom of his bag under the newspaper and trash he had been collecting throughout the day. He pocketed his throwing knife for ease of access later and got off of the subway, whistling to a tune other than his signature one as he made his way up the steps.

I'm supposed to meet him in an alleyway by his apartment or something. Not sure what the hell the guy looks like but we've got each other's codenames so this should be easy.

Hoss made his way to the street that the alleyway was on, turning the corner into the mouth of the alleyway before seeing something he really wasn't expecting...

Spoiler:
The man believed she had the package. After all, he didn't know who was bringing it to him. With a fake one in her hands, she approached him with a sly smile. He greeted her and as he took the empty box from her hand she whipped her tonfas out from underneath and smashed it into his stomach.

He gasped in surprise as she knocked the air out of him. He coughed out thick blood that splattered onto her clothes, which she found rather irritating. She lifted her arms up for another blow. A sickening crack rang through their ears when her tonfas collided with his skull. The man flailed his hands, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Lifting her leg up above his head he smashed it down on him. The man fell to the ground, blood flowing out from his cracked skull. He rolled onto his back, barely breathing. Within seconds his chest had stopped moving.

Akuji towered above him, her tonfas still in her grasp. His blood dripped from her hands. A pool of blood formed around his body, staining is white shirt, but Akuji was more concerned with her own attire. She hated blood, more specifically, the color red. Red never suited her, at least that's what she thought. She was more of a blue person. She couldn't imagine herself with flaming red hair.

The powder blue eyed woman bent over, the smell of pennies grew stronger as she did, and jabbed his stomach with one of her tonfas just to make sure he was dead. Of course he was. She sighed, feeling unsatisfied. He was weak and boring, nothing like how she expected he would be. She wanted a challenge, someone who could hurt her, maybe even kill her.

Akuji wanted harder missions, but silver dust hasn't been receiving much clients as she had hoped. The woman looked down at her clothes, making sure the blood was invisible to the eye. As the woman stood up, she flicked her tonfas so the blood that stuck to it flung off. After attaching them to her belt once again, she pulled out a silver pocket watch from her back pocket. The real package would arrive any time soon.

What she wanted to know was what the package even was and who it was for. The higher ups just asked her to retrieve it, meaning the mission was probably not important. They were probably too lazy to go themselves. Now that she thought about it, it would've been easier if she killed the man after he had retrieved the package.

Oh well, too late now, she thought.

Red didn't suit a lot of people. It was a rare quality to have red bring out the best in you. Harvey, though, was born red. Just looking into his eyes you could see why the color agreed with him despite his lack of it. That may change from time to time and shirt to shirt but to tell you the truth he never looked better than when he was adorned in it. His eyes almost glowed in the night as the scene in front of him showed him a bit of blood, a body, and a dame with a silver watch checking the time.

Well, how about that.

It seemed his mission was a failure and Hoss could only stand there and grin as he reached into his bag, grabbing the newspaper as his other hand held onto the small package in his jacket pocket. He started to make a copy, "Boy that's a fine mess you got going on there, girlie. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that kind of treatment. Tell you what, I give you the package, we both walk away without you having to resort to that kind of treatment."

Of course he had no intent of giving her any real sort of package. Instead his hand had already, under the cover of his bag, created a duplicate. Staving off his restitution he lifted the fake package, perfect on the outside but empty on the inside, and held it in the air for the girl to see. "Live and let live, that's what I always say." If he could manage to trick her or even confuse her for a second he could try making a run for it.

That said… if she was faster than him and smart enough to check the package as he held his hand out, he would be resorting to a fight.

At the very least I can try to take her on if things get bad.
