Back Again -- Aiden, Andrew

Post by AJ on Tue May 14, 2013 1:42 am

This was how he remembered it.
Yes, places like these were what made the oases of simple pleasure inside this city of chaos.
Being able to hear the peals of laughter instead of the screaming of sirens swing was far more refreshing right now than a cold glass of lemonade sounded (although that didn’t seem too bad either given this weather). The warming tides of summer’s waves were blurring Aiden’s sight of the horizon; as well as the distant figures, making them out to be little more than blocks of color that swayed to and fro.

How much had changed since he had last been here? Although the training session had seemed to make the months fly by, being back in town like this was creating a Doppler effect on time, allowing the re-instated cop to realize in little ripples at a time just how long he had been absent from his old life. Structurally everything seemed untouched, as if frozen until his return. But what about the people? How much might they have changed? The people he had met…if they still remembered him.

Although…there was one face in particular he was curious about.

It was a pretty nice day, the weather steadily getting nicer since he had run into his cousin last week and they had made up, to an extent. He was still a bit wary of her, his trust having been broken, but they were working on repairing their relationship. Things were better with Marjorie as well. Halt though... That was a whole kettle of fish he wasn't going to delve into just yet. And then there was Trevor, and thoughts of the healer just always made him smile.

So, all things considered, Andrew's mood was relatively upbeat and he was humming softly as he walked, enjoying the weather. He wasn't afraid to admit that he was kind of hiding from everyone, having taken to enjoying solo walks to help clear his mind and help him with his somewhat unstable emotions. Thankfully, his equilibrium was starting to return so the walks were becoming less frequent - replaced instead with spending time with Trevor.

Blinking a bit, he tilted his head when he saw a brown haired man a bit ahead. He looked familiar... Oh, that was Aiden. Or, someone else that Andrew had no idea about his standing with since the other man had just up and vanished one day.
