Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara] Empty Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara]

It was a nice enough day out on the West District streets. The sun was out with relatively no clouds in the sky. The air had a slight chill but it was still fairly comfortable out despite the changing seasons. People were out an about, getting errands done.

An ATM in the process of exploding...

Well, not exploding per say, but sparking and rattling like its damn well about to.

A Felix walking away casually if not somewhat briskly as said ATM causes a commotion to the nearby bystanders, muttering to himself to pretend he doesn't notice ruckus he may or may not allegedly of had a hand in. Oh yes, it was such a lovely day.

"Hmm...that wasn't suppose to happen..." Felix's fingers flitted through the windows of his right computer trying to pull up the schematics of the ATM he purchased from a certain person from a certain site. Allegedly. He was pretty sure it wasn't suppose to do that after entering in the key phrase. The young man sighed as he listened in on the excited reactions of those nearby, making a note to wipe any possible video feeds of him being linked to recent events. Why is covering your own tracks so difficult nowadays?

The sound of a police siren broke into his thoughts. Even more hassle. Oh well, at least this little excursion was worth it. The hand not engaged in the schematic's search, it was there somewhere, rested in his pocket holding a nice wad of credits. Complements from Mr. ATM. He had to admit despite the trouble it was worth the pay out. The best part had to be that the others didn't know about it.

Extra adapters, A new hard drive, books, some spare cables, more books. Felix smiled and chuckled at the thought of getting new stuff. It was slightly creepy yet went unnoticed thanks to the spectacle he helped create. In any case, with the approaching sirens he decided it was time to get off the street. He turned in the nearest alley and strolled through it, hand still clutching the credits. As he turned to enter the back alley running parallel the street he pulled out the money, intending to count it properly.

Felix stopped mid-step, having managed to walk in on a group of thugs. Everyone of the delinquents chatting and lazing about turned to the person intruding on them. A person holding out a very nice sum of money.

"Hmm........well damn."

The group in question, stood or turned fully toward Felix. All of them had something orange on. Probably a horribly cliched identifier for a gang. Never good. He started hoping the sound of the nearby police siren would persuade them from causing any-

"Get 'im."

Welp so much for that hope. Felix deftly divided the credits with an experienced hand familiar with paper leaflets and flung half of them into the nearest thugs face in one fluid motion before taking off an opening though the gang. He was hoping next that the discarded creds would be enough for keep them satisfied enough not to trouble in chasing after him for the rest.

"Don't let him get away!" Was heard over his shoulder.

Greedy of course. How annoying.

Two hopes dashed he sprinted back into a side alley of the opposite side of where he came in, across the street and into the next alley with the gang still in pursuit, but lagging by good distance. Though Felix would never admit it to anyone, especially not to his roommates, he prided himself in hauling ass when he needed too. Now he just had to lose them before he ran out of steam.

The young man made yet another turn into the new back alley. Third hope's a charm.

Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara] Empty Re: Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara]

Flara sat on a misplaced bench in a back alley (not because she was a hobo like Kier would say; it was just more peaceful back there) eating her lunch of dinner rolls. It was a relatively normal day in the West District. Yes, she had ventured out of the South again. She made a mental note to stop wasting money on the metro. The fee was rather reasonable, but Flara, being Flara, didn't have the money to blow on transportation.

The brunette was just swallowing a bite of her third dinner roll when she heard the loud boom of an explosion. Flara jumped a bit at the sudden noise, the way she did when Kier popped out of nowhere right behind her. The mouthful of bread nearly went down the wrong pipe (thankfully it didn't). "...I'm just going to ignore that..." she muttered bitterly.

Then came the police sirens. "The fuck is happening?" Sighing, Flara stood up and walked farther into the alley to see if she could get a view of what was going on. And she could, because what was obviously the problem was running straight at her.

'The problem', or what Flara thought was the problem, was a suspicious-looking brown-haired guy who wore a hat with robotic bunny ears. Underneath his non-harbinger green eyes were huge bags, indicating that he was in dire need of sleep.

Flara could still hear those police sirens ringing and now there was a new sound too. Many pounding feet and a continuous string of cursing. She was rather familiar with that sound. It was the sound that gang members make when they are after someone.

So they are after this guy, huh? And god, are the police chasing him too? Flara considered what her next move would be. Her options were to try to get the hell out of here or take care of the problem. She decided on the latter; just looking at the guy pissed her off for some reason.

Let's get this over with. She took a pipe out of her sack and swung it at Mr. Robotic Bunny Ear's head, hoping for a one-hit KO.

Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara] Empty Re: Payday. Minus Taxes [Felix/Kier/Flara]

Kier knew not to fuck with the police. They were useless when it really counted but most still prided in busting asses for minor crimes. Gang members were fine though, as long as they weren't after you for money. The ones who were desperate enough to go after sleep deprived, bunny ear- wearing weirdos probably weren't very high in ranking, or very strong for that matter. And said bunny-ear wearing weirdos were the weirdos a normal person would stay away from. Especially when he was being chased by both the gang and police of the area. Kier wondered what in the hell the guy could have done to get himself in this mess. He most likely wasn't a Harbinger or he'd have no problem dealing with the pursuers.

Between leaving the guy alone and following him, Kier's curiosity got the best of him. Not like he was doing anything important. He saw him turn into an alley, out of the way of his pursuers who ran right by. Funny how you never pay attention to alleyways when you chase someone.

Hands in his pockets for his brass knuckles, Kier stopped at the entrance of the alley to see that the guy was cornered and not by a wall either. On the opposite side stood Flara's ready position, pipes out and ready. By her feet was a brown paper bag of...dinner rolls? Eating alone in an alleyway was yet another reason for him to call her a hobo.

Back to the situation at hand, Kier watched the criminal(?), having his hands ready for attack. "Hey there. Need help?" he asked the brunette, a smirk on his face. He expected she would refuse though, considering this guy didn't look that tough.

Felix's third hope was as dashed as his head would of been if some crazy person swinging a pipe got a clean hit off of him. Thankfully he managed see the swing coming, giving him just enough time to stumble into a sort of roll just under the pipe's path. If gravity wasn't on his side with that maneuver he was sure his reaction time wouldn't of let him do much else then watch himself become a human piñata. He rolled on the hard pavement and stopped to look back the at person trying to clean his digital clock. A look of anger, if diluted from exhaustion of sprinting and his usual weariness, crossed his face.

"Hey, .....you almost hit one of my computers!"

Whether he was serious or not was anyone guess, though his attention was quickly diverted to his twin comps, checking their casings. Then he opened about a few minimized screens on one.

"Hmm oh, so thats were those ATM schematics were..." Felix muttered to himself, just about forgetting about the crazy person before snapping out of it. Oh right, safety still in question here. See what went wrong later. He looked back up towards the person of questionable sanity in question, causing him to raise a brow.

"Hm....a crazy little girl?"

Though there was another person in the alley, the one who was holding the pipe was the girl brown haired girl. She seemed a little too well dressed to be a bum, which left her reasons for being here in a back alley a little more suspicious. Not that the pipe helped her image for the better.

Speaking of poor imagery, it seems the gang tailing him had finally caught up as the first two round the corner into view and stopped at the scene before them. More followed behind. Yes, this indeed painted a perfect picture to how his day was going...

He finally decided to get up, not that he had enough energy to start another sprint again. The ground was just uncomfortable. He waited for something to happen.
