Strolling in the Night (Ceara, Asche)
Stars…not a very common sight in the Radius. Asche looked up and only saw one in the sky but wasn’t sure if the glimmering light was an actual star or some aircraft. It blinked.
Sigh The time was well past 20:30 despite Asche not knowing. She ignored the recent news announcement regarding the curfew for those under 20 and continued her routine of, what she prefers to call, salvaging late at night. There weren’t a lot of people late at night anyways; the absence of a few more didn’t make much of a difference. She doubted that people would listen to such an announcement in the first place. It was more likely that people were stealthier at night, carefully hiding in the shadows and avoiding routine patrols daily.
Gliding through the alleyways, Asche jumped into one of the large industrial sized dumpsters. A gray one that was heavily tagged and painted. The far off street lights provided a faint yellow source of light but Asche was able to faintly make out the world 'Guild' with an intricate design of fades, crossovers and complex lettering. No doubt that it was painted over in installments. There is never a low supply of street art in the South District. Of course, with variety too. Drawings of inappropriate body parts are also quite common.
Asche quietly climbed onto the dumpster, dropping her bag in first. She gently settled her feet into the dumpster carefully detecting where is a good spot to land. ~thump~ She reached for a small flashlight in her pocket. Switched it on. Then began scanning for any potential items to salvage. People throw away the most useful things sometimes: jars, bags, clothes....hm? Rummaging through one of the alley dumpsters, she came across a handful of small sheets of paper. Carefully unfolding them, she gave the papers a quick glance. More than a few times, people forget to shred important documents. Asche recalled seeing a few bank receipts in the trash one day, not that she knew what to do with info like that. Whenever she found something like this, she just felt obliged to tear the receipts. A small ripping echo hissed in the silence.

Re: Strolling in the Night (Ceara, Asche)
Ceara sighed, shifting her bag to a more comfortable position on her shoulder. It was too quiet. It had been too quiet ever since the news report had come in. Of course, this was all entirely relevant, as the Radius never could be completely silent. But besides the far off car honks and muffled shouting from the apartments, there was very little noise. Everyone who had a reason to be out past the curfew, even if it didn't directly affect them, were deliberately more discreet with their dealings. No one wanted to be pegged as a kidnapper slash child murderer, whatever the people really behind the disappearances were.
Speaking of discreetness though, there was a distinct lack of it coming from the alley to her right. She paused at the lip of it, instincts urging her to keep on moving and ignore the movement and noises from the dumpster. But curiosity prevailed and she headed towards it, tiptoeing to peer over the top. Violet eyes narrowed. She had expected maybe a homeless person, not this tiny girl. "You know it probably isn't safe for you to be out, right?" Not that Ceara really cared; she was simply stating a fact. The younger female didn't look like much of a fighter, but then again neither did she. Her only sign of expression was a mildly curious arched eyebrow. "Why are you in there, anyway?"
