Shade sighed, leaning against a wall somewhere in South as she pretended to be doing something with her phone. She was in reality scanning the people passing by, looking for one of the a few who should be able lead her to the bounty she was after.

Long black hair, pale skin, blue eyes. Yeah, because that physical description helped.

Huffing again, she was just glad she had managed to bribe Felix into finding a picture for this Bella Nadyr for her and not ask too many questions afterward. Bounties weren't really what the group tended toward, but it wasn't like they had much choice at the moment. They couldn't risk hacking into her old account again, not for another month or two at any rate, and she wanted to make sure they had the money to last that long.

A flash of color at the corner of her eye caught her attention. Looking up, Shade saw the man she was looking for, one of Match's lovers - Edward or Jacob or something like that - and watched as he stepped into an alley.

Smirking lightly at how she hadn't had to wait long, she pushed off the wall and returned her phone to her pocket. Whistling softly, having learned that it was a good way to deflect attention, she casually headed toward the alley and slipped around the corner.

Oh goodie. Another gang member that had gone and done all the wrong things in life. Unlike several others however, this one had a rap sheet that was as hot as the flamethrower she used. Lumine had a few small plans, but of course, like a major war, plans often didn't go the way you intended, and thus, part of this bounty was going to be done live. Not that there was a huge problem with that, but if she was really as temperamental as the record said she was, Lumine was going to need something...a token maybe?

No, that was dirty, but maybe a nice chat with a friend of hers would draw her to coming in quietly.

Unlikely, but one could certainly hope.

The south was a dangerous place for sure, and Lumine was carrying a full loadout. Hammer, tennis racket, and a small assortment of projectiles. Enough to disable a flamethrower, or maybe kill one. Unfortunately, flames usually meant collateral damage. Well wasn't this going to be a fun start to the day?

Public records were easy enough to find if you looked hard enough, and relationships popped up quickly as well. A man with a known tie to the woman Lumine was hunting was nearby where she intended to stalk him in the South, and as he walked into an alley, Lumi turned into the corner down the way, and started walking casually towards him, hands clasping a small book to read.

Really now, the question was fairly simple. How does one extinguish a flame? Answer: Buckets. Lots and lots of water filled buckets.

Sadly, tugging a gallon of water though out the South district not only looked weird, but was a huge hassle. Since spitting obviously wouldn't work Blue settled with a water gun instead. Even though the 'firearm' was often misjudged as a toy(A mistake made among most humans)Blue could clearly see its potential. The young boy she bought it from assured her the mighty weapon was fully automatic for maximum drenching power. She also found the bright colors quite attractive.

Who could resist such a tasty looking object?!

Fighting fire with fire was impossible in her case, and she doubted a few fluid sprinkles would stop the temper-mental gang member. No matter. She settled with gasoline instead. When the female lit her match, Blue intended to fire all three quarts of oil. While Keeping the aim at the flame throwers hand of course. Not that the sight of a raging bitch sparking into flames wouldn't be amusing, but her no kill policy held tightly intact. Decapitating the woman's limb before fire spread to the rest of her body was a must do.

Regrettably, her plans rarely went as planned.Lucky for Blue that's where an impulsive nature came in handy.

Everyone had their connections, and she defiantly had hers. Playing body guard for the past two years had its perks, and one of them was information resources. Once you saved someone’s life they tended to be fairly grateful. Thanks to that Blue managed to get a hook on the woman’s picture and recent relationships. One of her lovers happened to be a man that she was currently stalking from a distance. Behind her shawl blue smiled. Who would have thought bounty hunting could be so easy. The same went for stalking too.Tip toeing around the alley corner Blue kept her finger trigger ready.

As Shade trailed the man, catching up with every step due to her somewhat faster pace, she brushed her fingers against her bracelet, opening the sliding clip that held most of the coils. Twitching her wrist in a certain way, enough coils for about two feet of wire popped out and she closed the clip again. Another quick twitch had a loose loop around her left hand.

Now about three feet behind the man she was following, she acted. Taking a couple of longer strides, Shade lifted both hands and flicked her wrists just so, tossing the length over his head. Holding tightly to either end, she pulled back, tightening the wire and halting his momentum. He choked, the wire catching him across his Adam's apple, and he flailed, trying to pull the wire away. Using her body weight, she pulled down, throwing off his balance, and dragged him around a corner and into a different alley. She didn't want to risk anyone seeing this from the street.

"Oh shut up," she snarled, already sick of hearing him try to plead with her and bribe her to let him go. She kicked out, knocking him to his knees, and opened her mouth to start questioning him when something made her pause. Tilting her head, Shade turned slightly when she heard a scuff near the corner where she had nabbed him. Seeing two different figures appear, one after the other, she bit back a groan.

"Shit," she huffed lowly before raising her voice. "Stay back. There's no need to get involved." She really hoped that these weren't friends of his.

When you made plans for yourself, generally you made them for well...yourself, as in a singular person. Granted there were always people around, witnesses, bystanders, and those nuts that liked to get involved, but when three separate people had the same plan, to go after the same guy, one started to wonder exactly what was going on, as well as how to reformulate all the work you put in to making your schematic work out. With this other girl making a move first, however, there wasn't much Lumine could do to continue, except politefully inquire as to her next course of action. She didn't SOUND too hostile, making herself known, but it was certainly enough to make Lumi stop in her tracks and put the book away.

"I'd normally agree, except for the part that you're attacking a city citizen. That's reason enough to get involved."

Lumine didn't show signs of aggression, nor did she want to. She had once again, planned to simply talk to the man, not try to strangle the guy. Strangling and breaking things was usually a much later step if simple diplomacy didn't get the job done first.

"However, I do need to talk to him. You should let him go. And you..."

Lumine gave the man this woman was holding down a stern look, one where he'd clearly be able to see Lumine's eyes.

"Don't run. Got that? You talk, and you'll go home fine. Cool?"

Not that he could anyways. Lumine otherwise approached slowly, still not showing weapons. There was another person close by as well, probably here for the same reasons. With any luck, her voice would at least get the man some air, and nobody would get hurt. Or, bad things would happen, and Lumi would have to level the playing field, possibly literally. It was a notion that she didn't feel like following up on.

Blue had first planned on stalking the male until he led her to the fire thrower. What a surprise. Something went wrong. In fact during her recent years of work there wasn't a single experience that actually went according to her original idea. Perhaps that was poor logic on her part, but she seemed to get by. Besides that she always found a way to out-smart her opponent. However, this was going South on her VERY quickly. It took a few moments for her to comprehend what played out, but from the most part she gathered this much; 1. The bounty must of been fairly popular. 2. She was positive the other girls were here for the exact reasons she was. 3. She wasn't in the sharing mood and 4.The rent to her apartment had to be paid. So, what now?

Lowering the water gun, Blue took a few cautious steps forward. A little unsure of how to proceed. By now the mans face had paled with fear, and she could practically see his trembling.

"Let the man breath, I'd like to ask a few questions myself."

Starring the other girls down her brow lifted. there was something a bit off about them both. Noooot, that she was the best judge of human characteristics. Focusing her attention back to matter at hand she awaited their reaction. what would be the outcome of this predicament? If possible, she would like to avoid violence.

Shade huffed in annoyance at how they both assumed he couldn't breathe. She could cut off his air pretty easily yes, and that angle had to be hell on his neck, but she wasn't strangling this guy - yet. "He can breathe fine." She looked down at him. "And he'll continue to do so if tells me what I want without any bullshit. I don't intend to kill him." Leaning toward him, she lowered her voice. "Of course, accidents do happen."

Straightening again, she fixed goggle covered eyes on the other two females, both older than her, and sighed, seeing they were both harbingers as well. "I assume the two of you are after Nadyr as well? And Edward here was the one you picked to lead you to her? Well, isn't that quite the coincidence?"

And wouldn't that be just her luck? She starts working at bounties on her own, and still ends up with company.

Glaring down at the man again, she had one thing to add. "I swear, if this is some sort of trap, you will regret it." She looked back up at the other two women.

"I'm sure he can. That's not the point."

Lumine cocked her head sideways a little and frowned. Despite her ability, Lumi wasn't usually barbaric and attacking every lead she came across. That said, most people had a different style, and of course, that was to be respected. Unfortunately, attacking leads often lead to inconsistent stories, and second leads, due to their target wanting to get out of harms way as quick as possible. The poor guy thought he was probably going to bite it tonight. Unfortunately, there might be ground in that theory, should miss shadow decide to slit his throat open.

"You're correct, I'm here for the bounty at least."

The problem with working bounties. They were posted on a relatively public forum for all to see. Anyone could take them, and sometimes, and Lumi was guilty of this too, they didn't exactly post that they were going. There were probably other people looking for this Nadyr as well...although they had taken a different path of getting to her.

"Fine. If you're so eager to hold onto him, you can ask the questions as long as I get to listen in. Then you let him go. Fair?"

If not, Lumine was not about to get into a fight with two other harbingers. Especially not without compensation. It simply wasn't worth the risk. She COULD find her own way of going about this, although for a low-ranked mission, it probably simply wasn't worth the effort.

Blue sighed, not the type of sigh you give off when trying to subdue tears, but a fairly annoyed one. She had a low Tolerance for over-violent people and grew tired of waiting. On a scale from one to ten her patience had the low score of zero.

fuck this sucked.

By now, her expression held nothing but that of utter defeat. If she attacked them both in hopes to gain the bounty, she would most likely lose. Judging by the dark girls personality, the option of death could be drafted into the mix as well. She really had no choice but to go along with it and play nice.

Walking forward, she titled her chin towards the girl with the tinted shades in an acknowledging gester. " Ask away then. You can break him as much as you want but try to keep dear Eddy alive." She thought about adding 'please' but decided against it.

Her eyes swept over Shade before they fell on Lumine. She had a cute face- tiny nose, and pretty eyes. Oh wow, and those boobs----

wait a minute.

Snapping her attention back to Lumie's face her mouth formed a perfect O. Now, Blue wasn't necessarily considered a hermit, but she hardly got out. Even in the two years of freedom received, she rarely bumped into another harbinger. Cursing, Blue practically face palmed herself for not noticing it earlier.

" Your a Harbinger?!" Her tone changed from the low serious key she was using earlier, to that of an excited child. "That's so cool! Whats your name? What are your pow---"

In all her excitement, Blue failed to realize she was getting closer and closer to the other harbinger, and upon her gittyness tripped on her over long pants. Even though she was a foot smaller, the fall was enough to send both her and Lumie to ground. With Blues boobs smashed against the poor girls face.

Shade glowered at the blue haired girl, well, both of them really. Just because she had done her research and knew that Edward here wouldn't talk just because some girl batted her eyes and asked nicely, that didn't mean she was some random axe murderer. For one, she didn't have an axe.

Twitching a shoulder into a shrug in answer to the question of letting him go since that would really depend on him, she wouldn't kill him, but she had no problems with knocking him unconscious and shoving him into a dumpster. Shade ignored how the one had started babbling about the other being a harbinger and shifted the wire to one hand, using her free hand to start searching the man's pockets. He had to have a phone here somewhere. Even half of the homeless people of the Substratum managed to get and keep working cell phones - how she didn't know, but she didn't care either. Ah-ha! There it was.

Shade glanced up in time to see the other women crash to the ground. Snorting in amusement, she straightened again, pocketing the phone to look at later.

"If you two are done, I believe we've got business to tend to," she snarked, raising an eyebrow.

Well, that was that. With her lead firmly in the hands of another hunter, Lumine was at her mercy to do whatever she asked if she wanted her stake in the bounty to remain active. Not a great deal, but unfortunately, it had to be done. There wasn't much money in this job anyways, and had no intention of keeping on the trail if it wasn't lucrative in some way. Lumine crossed her arms and sighed slightly, looking down at the ground before waiting to see what either of them were going to do. While the lady holding their lead did some searching...well, that's when the interesting stuff happened.

Lumine only caught a glance of what was about to happen, but as she turned towards this lady...

"You're a Harbinger?!"

"Yes?"

Well this was certainly a turn for the strange now wasn't it? Lumine lifted an eyebrow slightly...before lifting both and lowering her arms as the other girl drew closer and closer.

"That's so cool! Whats your name? What are your pow---"

"Uh, you're getting a bit-- ----CLOSE!"

Lumine squeaked some as she was flattened by the woman, her face embedded in two semi-large melons. Lumine sighed once, grabbed the woman's shoulders, lifted her straight up, stared into her eyes without any emotion of the sort, rolled on her side, and gently set the other woman down on her back and picked herself up, and dusted off.

"I do believe we do. Lead the way."

"Ah-heh..." Blue gave An awkward mumble, and slowly scooted away. To her dismay, she was a bit flustered. Blushing was an unusual thing for her,and with such tan skin the flecks of red were practically non existent. But after the display she just went through, Blue was positive the pink across her cheeks was visible in the darkness.

"...Right then, how about we start asking those---"

WOSH.

A streak of light cut her off in mid sentence.

Lurching forward Blue dove across the alley way, with her shoulders hunched and eyes wide. Landing on her knees, she lifted her hand to graze the back of her neck. That of which was now a tad singed. Turning to glance at the alley entrance, a girl with black hair and ashen like skin portrayed it's self across her line of vision.

This female also had a flame thrower.

Blue swallowed. Hard. What were the odds of the bounty finding them? Struggling to a standing position, she eyed the other harbingers before grasping the toy gun.

Shade nodded in response to both of their comments. Or, she would have if the bounty they were all after hadn't just turned the corner. Eyes widening, she dropped to the ground, dragging a screaming Edward with, as a gout of flame ballooned out at them.

The follow-up molotov, however, wasn't so easily avoided.

Shade, who had been pushing back to her feet, bit out a curse and lifted an arm, turning her face away. Grasping at her power and yanking, she just hoped it would be enough.

The bottle shattered against her arm and Edward started screaming again as the fire spread over the pair of them. After a moment, his scream was cut off and all that was left was the crackling of the flames.

Match focused on the other women. "Oops?" she laughed. "I guess poor, dear Edward won't be able to tell you ladies anything, now. And I'm so sorry about your friend. Don't you know, fire is dangerous? It isn't a toy."

"Tch. What would you know? It's obvious you can't use it right." Shade straightened, brushing a couple of embers off her sleeve, and sent a flat look at Nadyr. Edward was unconscious and a little singed behind her.

Blue eyes widened then narrowed, shifting to the youngest. "You little bitch! I hit you!" She stomped a foot, glaring angrily.

"You didn't do a very good job of it," Shade countered, setting her feet. She knew damn well she was pissing off the bounty, but that was kind of the point. It was only a matter of time before Match attacked again and if she was angry, she'd get stupid.

Playing With Fire (Blue, Lumine, Shade) - Complete Empty Re: Playing With Fire (Blue, Lumine, Shade) - Complete

Post by Lumine Sun Aug 19, 2012 5:31 am

When Lumine said lead the way, she had certainly meant it, but instead of leading, she found herself dodging a flaming ball of glassy death that was hurtled at them, just barely getting out of the way before the bottle shattered, sending flames over a decently wide area. Lumine had the distinct impression that both their previous leads had just been cooked in the inferno, but as things moved underneath, it was quickly obvious that their lady in dark was actually a harbinger in disguise. If Edward or Jacob had been, they certainly weren't anymore. Their body was more deep fried than chicken from the local British pub.

Lumine turned to Match and grinned, knowing full well what had just happened.

"You little bitch! I hit you!" She exclaimed.

"Are you sure?"

This bounty was far more amusing than Lumine could have hoped for. So now what was it? Two or three harbingers versus a pyro-wielding maniac? The odds seemed stacked in their favor, but Lumine's ability was very rarely defensive. But...the best defense was a good offense right? Lumi pulled the tennis racket and a ball from underneath her coat, and bounced the ball a couple times.

"I want to play a game."

Blue kept the water gun at arms length while managing to dodge an stream of flames. She kept in a crouching position, still a little shaken up about the whole fire-to-neck incident. She wasn't exactly scared, but the attack came unexpected. The girl in shades seemed to be alright, in fact she seemed to be MORE then alright. However, Blue couldn't say the same for their previous lead. It now was obvious by the display that the girl in black was also a harbinger. A small smirk quirked at the corners of her lips.

" I want to play a game."

A bit of light swirled at the end of her fingertips. She wanted to play as well.Though, despite Blue's new found enthusiasm she decided it best that the other two take the lead. If the water gun idea failed her, decapitation wouldn't. After all, you couldn't throw a flame without an arm, right?

Shade huffed softly, supremely relieved that her power had reacted the way she had wanted it to. That was the first time she had pitted it against a molotov after all. Thank god it wasn't one of Asche's weird concoctions that didn't go out no matter what you did.

She stepped up between the other two. "What do you say to working together?" she asked. She didn't really care about sharing the bounty or not, but if either of them did, she'd let them at it. After all, she had just obtained a second cell phone so she could take walking away. Though, there was no way that she'd take no payment if she actually got involved.

"I'll burn you all, you smug bitches!" the bounty screeched, stomping a foot again. Forgoing another Molotov, she aimed at them and pulled the trigger.

Shade shifted forward another step or so as the flamethrower was lifted and pulled up her power again. This time, she was ready (though she hoped that a third time wouldn't be necessary - this took more energy than she was happy with and wasn't sure how many more times she might be able to do it. Not that she'd say that to anyone).

Throwing up what was basically a wall in front of her, the other two were able to see the somehow solid looking smoke that suddenly spanned the alley, seeming to have sprouted from the shadows along the walls. They were also able to see through it somewhat to where the flames were just striking the whatever the hell it was.

After several seconds, the flames tapered off and Nadyr started screeching at them again.

Shade glanced back at the other two. "If you're going to do something, now would be a good time, before she starts focusing again."

Post by Lumine Sun Aug 26, 2012 10:27 pm

Their target was less bright than Lumine had taken her for. Despite the flaming personality, taking on what appeared to be three harbingers was probably one of the single dumbest things you could do. Lumi bounced the ball on top of her racket a couple times, fiddling with the single white streak in her hair while the group and Match exchanged a few choice words with each other.

"What do you say to working together?"

"I'm down."

The payment was already low, so may as well take down a target and just get it over with. Although Match clearly had different ideas, and took to her flamethrower. Before the group was roasted however, Shade had completely defended the team using her shadows. Lumine was rather impressed actually. Command over an ability like that was rather difficult, and her restitution wasn't immediately apparent. That, and she probably had just saved the group from an immensely painful death. Despite their rough start, this was a much better end, no doubt.

Still popping the ball on her racket, Lumine finally turned back towards Match after taking unneeded cover. Not that it would have helped.

"You really have some temper problems don't you?"

Not that Lumine could talk, whenever someone laid a hand on her in an attempt to kill her, she could get...feisty to say the least. More than one bounty target had been killed making that mistake. Despite Match's failures on that note, she was already gearing up for another attempt. Lumine didn't hesitate. She formed a warp field around the racket and ball, and after popping the ball a little higher, slammed it with two hands, using a significant amount of topspin. A loud cracking was heard as the ball practically obliterated the flamethrower, and likely a few of Match's bones in her left hand as well.

"Are you done? Or does my friend here have to finish the job?"

Shade blinked, realizing that the woman with blue hair had vanished. Hadn't she just said something about wanting to join in? Oh, whatever. More important things to focus on here.

Her eyebrows raised as the other brunette literally shattered the flamethrower in Nadyr's hands. At least the fuel was in a traditional back tank and not something like Asche's former water gun. Huffing softly, she was definitely impressed. That was not an ability she wanted to ever go against. Considering the force involved in destroying something like that, Shade was pretty sure she couldn't stop even one blow like that - and if she could, it would use up quite a lot of her energy.

"Are you done? Or does my friend here have to finish the job?"

If the way poor Bella here was carrying on about her hand, she didn't have any fight left in her. Shade wrapped some shadows around her, pinning the woman's arms and legs together. After a moment, she gagged her as well, greatly muffling the sound.

Looking at Lumine, she spoke. "So, I didn't think to bring any rope. Did you?" She glanced back in mild surprise at a soft groan from behind them. Huh. Edward had survived. Shaking her head, she turned to Lumine again and offered a hand. "I'm Shade."

Without much a trace, Blue was gone. Lumine, confused just a little bit set aside the thought and took another look at Match who was now thoroughly focused on the damage to her hand. The flamethrower was a no-go. Her partner had by their targets appearance, bound and gagged Match so that she wasn't going anywhere fast. Shadows were definitely proving to be their ally tonight. Lumine approached Match and looked her in the eye.

"Hey there. I need to take some bits of this. Thanks."

Match started attempting to wiggle around, but to no avail. Lumine on the other hand took a vial from her thigh holster, found a slightly leaky fuel pipe, and gathered up several drops of the undoubtedly volatile substance that their target was using. Not enough to be dangerous of course, but definitely enough to satisfy the restitution for one use of her ability. Even gagged, Match one made one hell of a racket. Shame really. Interestingly, Edward had survived. When Lumi pointed, their hog-tied piece of meat jumped a bit in anger.

"Heh. Sorry, no rope here, I had planned to just render her unconscious, but this is just as effective...think you could maintain those shadows until we get to the station? I can carry her if you do."

A simple trade-off. Lumine took Shade's hand for a moment. A strange, but effective team nonetheless...even if it had been completely impromptu.

"Aelio. A pleasure working with you. Think we should take her boyfriend too? He doesn't look too pretty."

She nodded. That wouldn't be a problem really and simple enough to do. She had been making rope like objects for years to where it was almost reflex. It was not giving the ends an edge that she had to concentrate on. Her uncle had done a very good job of breaking her.

"Aelio. A pleasure working with you. Think we should take her boyfriend too? He doesn't look too pretty."

Looking down at Edward, she tapped her fingers on a hip, thinking. "Yeah, probably. He might die otherwise. Do you think you could carry him instead? Because then I could give her ankles a bit of play and walk her in front of us. Would that work?"

Playing With Fire (Blue, Lumine, Shade) - Complete Empty Re: Playing With Fire (Blue, Lumine, Shade) - Complete

"Yeah, that works just fine."

Lumine hefted her weapons back into her coat and strode over to Edward, still alive, but in pain, and at a nasty loss for blood. The poor guy had a really bad choice of girlfriend didn't he? Such a shame that a relationship would end in fire...literally, like that. But that's how life worked. When your associate made a poor choice, often enough, you got caught right up in the problem.

"Sorry, this is gonna hurt a little."

Edward groaned as he was hoisted without much issue onto Lumine's shoulders.

"And off we go."

Lumine started walking towards the station. As he was a witness to their takedown of Match, the doctors there could take care of him. It was their job after all. Lumine still wondered what happened to their other hunter. She had simply run off, but where exactly was still to be determined.

"So, what brings you on a bounty, Shade?"

While Aelio was gathering Edward, Shade pulled Bella to her feet, leaning close to threaten her to cooperate. "You try anything, and I will put a blade in your spine. Do you understand me?" Satisfied that the other female wouldn't struggle if the way she was resembling a bobble head was any indication, she kept a hold of the pyro's arm as they started walking.

"So, what brings you on a bounty, Shade?"

Glancing over at the other brunette, she shrugged one shoulder. "The money mostly. Need to make sure that my boys and I stay fed." She definitely wasn't one to do it just for fun. It would just be stupid in her opinion, risking injury and death just for a couple of laughs and an adrenaline rush. "You?"

She nodded, listening to the response. Luckily, it didn't take them all that long to reach the nearest police station. Which was a bit of a good thing considering the picture that they made, walking down the street like this. At least there weren't that many people out to send them odd looks or cross the street to avoid them.

Jeez, brutal. Usually Lumine never actually had to say anything, instead she just hit them once over the head, or otherwise did enough damage that they couldn't move even if they tried. Of course the damage was never permanent, dead targets were worth much less than their live counterparts, although Lumine often questioned why; for the worst offenders, they just added another tick to the capacity count of the city prison system...she believed that some people were simply beyond societies ability to rehabilitate.

That brought up the question...how did harbingers get along after a crime? Or did any harbingers work in the system? Interesting.

"It's a good way to work up an appetite, and you get to learn a few things on the job."

Research mostly, and putting her abilities into practice. It was one thing working on target dummies. It was another using live targets legally. A strange reason to be sure, but necessary.

Their trip didn't take long at all. Ten to fifteen minutes at most. After dropping off their live targets, they were each paid a piece of a meager bounty, and were sent off without much questioning. Harbingers were still not fully trusted, but being so late, it appeared the cops were not particularly interested in the how. Results were always the best points anyways.

"Well that's that. Maybe I'll take another bounty sometime with you. That was rather easy change actually."

The paperwork went rather quickly with two of them doing it. And she was happy, for once, to be half ignored for being a harbinger. It meant that she got to avoid any uncomfortable questions that she didn't want to answer - like her real name and age and home address.

"Well that's that. Maybe I'll take another bounty sometime with you. That was rather easy change actually."

Shade nodded with an amused huff. "Sure, sounds like a plan. Here, let me give you my number." She rattled it off and accepted anything that might have been offered in return before turning to make her way home.

It hadn't been as much as she had wanted to get, but it was still a decent amount. And who knew what kind of contacts were in this phone? She'd have to have Floppy look into them for her. If there were any that would be beneficial to Oblivion, she'd hand them over and keep the phone itself. A back up or throw away wasn't something that would hurt to have. Of course, knowing her and how she kept meeting people, it might end up getting used sooner than she thought it would.

For now though, she wanted to go home and wash off the layer of soot she had picked up.
